Dear friends, neighbors, and customers,
As you have heard, members of Congress and the Biden administration have struggled to reach an agreement regarding the government spending bills. This has led to the expiration of government funding and a shutdown of government operations until an agreement can be reached.
We recognize that many of you are concerned, and we want to pause and assure you that a government shutdown does not directly impact our bank’s operations. Generations Bank will remain open for business regardless of what is currently happening in our nation’s capital. As we have for many years, we continue to be a safe and sound financial institution you can trust to handle your various banking needs.
Generations Bank stands ready to assist anyone affected by this government shutdown. We understand that many government organizations will run out of funding during this shutdown, potentially impacting millions of Americans who are food insecure. As a community bank, we realize how food insecurity impacts our surrounding communities. So, Generations will be donating to local food banks in the communities we serve to assist with the influx of individuals needing assistance.
If you have questions or concerns about how this shutdown will impact your banking experience, we encourage you to reach out to us. You will find knowledgeable, friendly bankers inside any of our local branches who are ready and willing to answer any questions.
We thank you for your continued support and look forward to serving you for generations to come.
